This test was done with our lightest casting rod after multiple unsuccessful attempts to push the limits of the heavier rods.
The test is performed with 85 lb braid. The current line rating for this rod was 8-12lb test. We tried to make this as close to a fishing situation as possible. Do not attempt this with your rod. The test is extreme conditions that would or should never be reached in a normal use situation.
